Welcome to the 3D Genome Lab

Our research centres on the use of high throughput techniques in the analysis of genome structures from both eukaryotes and prokaryotes. We recently published the first unbiased global network map of eukaryotic genome organisation.


To do this, we integrated novel experimental and in silico techniques. We have also developed three-dimensional models of the yeast genome that incorporate accurate experimental and physical constraints (in collaboration with Jorg Langowski) and thus allow predictions about the clustering of regulatory and other genomic elements (manuscript in preparation). Our group has considerable experience with the genetic manipulation of yeast, which we use as a tool to investigate the mechanisms that mediate particular interactions within S. cerevisiae.
